A Digital Start Blog #1

     HI! My name is Blake Susman, I am 18 and I am currently a freshman. I am from the United States, specifically Connecticut. I enjoy making friends, hanging out, and playing video games. I am always looking for ways to get to know people and I am open to meeting people.  Some of the hobbies I have are playing video games on my laptop, Xbox, and VR headset. I also draw and build model kits as other pastimes of mine. I am also a marine bio major.

     I loved my small town in Connecticut there wasn't a lot to do apart from all the woods to go explore, hike, and camp in. I had some much fun spending time with my friends there. Camping and hiking were some of my favorite things to do outside of school. I always gave my all when I was doing any work or assignment in and out of school. I did work hard and became an Eagle Scout within my local Boy Scout troop before I came down to UT. Along with that, I had been part of the National FFA Organization for my high school, and a member of the Model UN within my school. One fun fact was I had eight ducks while I was in high school. While over the summer I participated in a group called Project O in Groten CT they were a marine science camp that ran over the summer. I and other people helped them end a 50 year study in the area and that helped fuel my love of marine life and push me to go into Marine Science here at UT.

    I don't have any experience with the things we are covering in the class. I am excited to learn how to use these software and programs. I have heard it is a challenging class but I am up for that challenge. I hope to be able to use the skills I learn here for whatever may come my way. Maybe during this class I will find other career possibilities through the world of digital media.
